Pamela Vaughn

Associate Dean for Faculty Development

Pamela oversees the activities and direction of the Center for Teaching and Faculty Development. A San Francisco State University faculty member since 1993, Pamela has served on a number of all-university committees, including two terms as chair of the Academic Senate. Immediately prior to her appointment in CTFD, she was professor of classics and chair of the departments of Classics and Comparative & World Literature. Pamela received her B.A. in classics from St. Olaf College and her Ph.D. in classics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jeannie Cheng

Associate Director

Jeannie provides instruction design and organizational development support for faculty at SF State. She assists faculty in striving for teaching excellence by assessing learning needs as well as designing and implementing CTFD workshops. She is also responsible in providing consultation with faculty and faculty groups regarding faculty development activities. She also works closely with the Associate Dean on implementation of grants and coordinate and manage specific faculty development awards, such as RSCA. Jeannie also extend her responsibility by actively involved in many CSU new training initiatives such as EnACT Universal Design for Learning, MERLOT/ELIXR project and Transforming Course Design project.

Meg Gorzycki

Faculty Development Consultant

Meg is an associate instructional designer assisting the team with institutional research on effective teaching and assessment, developing faculty workshops, procuring faculty resources for professional advancement, and publications. She has taught History, Psychology, and Media and Ethics at the secondary and college levels, including one semester at the University of Rostov, Russia. She has also worked as a Director of Curriculum and Professional Development and Assistant Principal. She holds a BA in Religious Studies, an MA in History and received her ED.D. from USF in 2003.

Bob Moyce

Technology and Design Consultant

Bob's duties include technical support and assistance for CTFD, creation of graphic design production for all media materials (including the layout for The Garden ), database maintenance, management of the Center's online presence, and ensuring the Center meets accessibility guidelines and requirements for all projects. Before becoming a full-time staff member, Bob received degrees from SF State in the fields of psychology and business marketing.

Kelli Stanley

Publications Director

Kelli edits and writes much of The Garden, and is responsible for writing and editing CTFD promotional materials. She earned a B.A. in Classics and Art History, and a M.A. in Classics from San Francisco State University.

Geraldine Durrah

Administrative Support Coordinator

As the Administrative Support Coordinator, Geraldine provides office and budget support and coordinates projects and events for the CTFD director and staff.
